Lots of love to Australia

My thoughts and prayers are with Australia, as the people and wildlife there face the most devastating wildfires in the nation's history. The loss of life, both human and animal, is truly heartbreaking, with an estimated 200 people missing or dead and over a million animals lost.
To donate to help wildlife affected by this disaster, please go to The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) at:

Thank you for posting! I don't have much, but anything to help the animals.

Thank you so much for your caring words and taking the time to post, I have been following your blog for a while (lurking LOL) but felt compelled to comment on your compassionate post.

It is truly a heartbreaking time, I watch the news with tears falling at the loss suffered by our Victorian neighbours. Many of us wait still on news of friends that we are not sure have survived.
And then to the other extreme, our own state, Queensland is flood-ravaged with 7 lives lost, 7 people missing, thousands of homes, wildlife and stock lost.

It is through the care, thoughts and prayers from people all around the world that hope is given in such a time of tragedy.

Anything we can do to help is worth it. I too have held back tears as I watched events unfold via the web; the harrowing tales of death and of survival, the images of devastation, loss, and of miraculous salvations are truly unforgettable.
