Loved the interview you had on The Dark Phantom. An interesting set of questions and I enjoyed your responses. Very inspiring. I feel like my muse is similar-- stokes you up and then takes a vacation when you need her the most. :-)

Hope all is well.

Yes, she's a flirt, isn't she? The muse, I mean :) I liked the Dark Phantom interview too; I felt it took a different angle. No complaints but it's hard to make the answer to "What inspired you to write this book?" orginal after you've replied to it 50 times.

My copy of Fool's Gold just arrived, and I'm hoping to get some time in this month to read it. I'm currently reading C.C. Humphreys' "Vlad: The Last Confession" for review; it's the story of the historical Dracula, not the vampire. So far, it's intense and atmospheric. I'll blog more about it once I've finished and will hopefully get the author to visit us here at the blog.

Hope you're well, too.

Ha, I bet. Glad to see the book is getting some publicity. I'm about half-way through it and really am enjoying it so far. There's a lot more political intrigue than I was expecting... I like that. :-)

I loved "King's Gold." It might be my favorite book, thus far, in the Alatriste series. Let me know what you think.

And I'm well. Gearing up for my show in a couple of weeks (busy, busy, busy). Also sent a short-story off to a magazine, so Ihave my fingers crossed with that.

Glad to hear you're liking it!

I can't wait to read "Fool's Gold." I'm really liking "Vlad", though, so I don't feel as deprived as I would if I were reading a so-so ARC for review.

What show? And good luck with the short story. Keep me posted!

The 2008 Salem Pirate Faire up in Salem, MA. It's like a renaissance festival but with pirates. I'm playing the role of Murphy, pirate under the command of Captain Hook. So I have to play a cartoony pirate, do a lot of interaction (in character) with patrons and get to play some sea shanties/drinking songs on the guitar. It'll be a good time.
